Default Antivenom shift mod?

I understand you use a washer to reduce the spring tension to reduce engagement pressure on the shifter. I have read to use a copper washer with a 3/4" inside diameter and at least a 1/8" thickness. The problem is I can't find copper anywhere. I do find brass. Will brass work? I found the exact size in brass. If brass will work, use two washers or one? TIA

I can't explain it well, but here is a previous thread that has helped many. In the thread there are also some other links which also may help out.

EXTREMELY easy mod to do. Go to PepBoys, AutoZone, etc, and pick up some copper washers. Once the car is off the ground, it takes less than 5 minutes to do the mod.
