Radar detector mounting location.

Where do you guys have your detectors mounted? Since visibility isn't the best in our cars I'm wondering where the best place for it would be.

I hardwired mine deep in the tint in the extreme upper left corner of the windshield. Keeps it in view and makes it virtually impossible to see from outside the vehicle. The suction-cup mount comes with the V1. Here is a great how-to link:

I love that mirror mount...clear shot front and rear staying out of the tint band....went to the site mentioned...WOW, $20 is cheap...I'm ordering....oops, what the hell is this..."not for electrochromatic mirrors".
Bummer.....any solutions out there? And why not cars w/ the electro mirrors?
