I was driving today and got behind a line painter truck. When I got home I found I had white and yellow paint in my wheel wells and also some on the inner fenders and under the doors.
What can I use to take it off before it dries??
It seems to be a type of latex based paint.
Any help would be appreciated>
THANKS!!!
depends what kind of paint,,
first thing i would do is try some wd-40,, then wash n wax,,,,, use paint thinner at, last resort.
dont use paint thinner, i got some mineral spirits...

I would think it could. As mentioned above work with solvents with less high end chemicals such as WD-40 (fish oil), then maybe Kerosene, Then (and don't flame me as I have used gas on my paint with no harm done) Gasoline. I use Citrus Orange on my inner fender wells routinely but DON'T USE CITRUS ORANGE on either your paint or wheels as it can remove the clear coat. Good luck with the unwanted "detail" work.
SIMPLE GREEN! (worked wonders) Same thing happened on my old car... the week I was selling it of course. I had to use one of those "rougher" sponges thank god it was on the bottom of the car... but if it happened to the vette the paint on the bottom is very shiny, I'd think I would have permanent paint damage.
Gasoline will work on the painted surface, just apply wax afterwards. It should work on the inner fender as well, I would just wash thoroughly with hot soapy water afterward. Splash a small amount of gasoline on a rag and rub. It may take some elbow grease but should come off.
If you don't have results with any of the above, call you insurance agent. Friend of mine had his insurance company remove paint from all over the front of his new car. They referred him to a body shop that specialized in removing overpaints. They did a beautiful job.
Shop was in Harrisburg I believe, kind of far for you. Sorry
Well the WD40 did nothing to remove the paint on the body under the door. If I use my finger nail I can chip it away but I am worried about scratching the paint.
Any other thoughts?? It is starting to dry and is getting hard.
I had bright yellow highway line paint spattered all over my metallic green Caravan.
on advice of a friend, I took it to a "spray yourself" carwash and used the pressure wand. Holding it about 2 inches from the surface of the car - and at an angle (not straight on)... it took all of it off.
