Very, very good question. I have been thinking of doing my own also. I just feel I am capable of doing anything, the problem is to get the knowlege of how something is done.
I have seen some packages on Xbay I believe that sell you pre cut film tint with a how to CD . I did not recall if they had Vettes pre-cut film, but I know I saw one for my daily driver, think I am going to try it.
Everything has its little tricks, etc., the only way to learn is to do the research, or have someone teach you, or watch a how to.

I would not recommend doing this car yourself unless you've got some experience doing it. At the very least you'll need a heat gun to shrink the film to the shape of the glass due to the multiple convex curves. There are also different techniques for shrinking it; with and without water. As I was told by the guy who did mine. If you're not careful you can also overheat it and you'll have cut a new piece and start all over.
