I currently have a 1991 Corvette and I am looking into buying a 1999 Z06 Vette. I really like how my 91 handles. Does anyone know how the '99 handles in comparison to the '91? Thanks in advance!

The first year for the C5 Z06 was 2001, but the handling is much better in any C5 then the C4, even with out the Z51 option. I do miss the feel of the road of my 93 though.

A friend let us drive his 94 vert. My wife and I fell in love and couldn't wait to buy one. Then another friend let us drive his 01 vert.
The C5 was so much better than the C4 - ride, power, handling.
We bought a C5 as soon as we found one we liked.
You may be looking at a Fixed Roof Coupe instead of a Z06.
Come by and drive mine...it will take about 20 minutes for you to make a decision and the dealer where I got mine has a yellow one with thin spokes and a maroon one with gray wagon wheels. Both hardtops. I'll make sure you get a good deal.
Do not be shy from getting one with the regular shocks setup as it is easy and not that expensive to change out to Z06 Sways and aftermarket shocks, even those with the Z51 setup usually change there Sways and most do the shocks

IMO, handling will be better in the C5 than the '91. But you won't be getting a '99 Z06 - no such animal. Most likely an FRC with the 345 hp LS1 engine.
