Great lookin' vette. When I bought in '01 it was between the Mag Red and MY. Ended up going yellow but loved the MR.

Reading Corvette forum after my purchase I was suprised at the GM modification list for 2001 listed in the sticky's. Originally I assumed a 1999 or 2000 was the same car. I also visited the Corvette Museum website (i think) for 2001 and saw the GM announcement. I was unaware other then a 5hp gain of what actually happened. Many times its the little things that we forget to think about. For example the key fob changed in that year, previously I heard it was more expensive. No offense to pre-01 but I felt lucky to buy this year. In my mind the 04 is the best year because I assume the Manufacturer improves the product each year.
The Car's production run # put's it right in the middle of the model year for 2001...I would think that is good. A common problem i see for 01's on here is oil burn off due to ring issues...I lose no oil between changes and none drips. I guess I feel lucky so far.
Thanks for the feedback everyone!
