Default Using Edmunds Appraiser

If you were appraising a car through the Edmunds website...

would you check option boxes for items the car has though it actually came stock?

For instance: A Z06 comes with magnesium wheels but there is a box to check on the add options page when calculating the price.

I would check everything that applies...and the Z06 did NOT come with magnesium wheels. The 2001 Z06's had Forged Aluminum Alcoas and the 2002-2004 have Spun cast Aluminum Speedlines. The weight of the Z06 wheels are not much higher than the optional 5-spoke magnesium wheels that were available for 98-2000 C5's.

I should also ask...are you sure your are looking up a Z06 on there? I use Edmunds TMV appraiser all the time and the ONLY two option boxs it asks for my 2002 Z06 is for the drivers side electric seat and special paint.

hammer,

The car I'm looking at on Edmunds would be 2001.
2001 is different then 2002. I guess magnesium wheels were an option afterall on 2001. I don't see a box for mod red interior though. I thought that was an option.

It looks to me that Edmunds added the standard coupe option list to the Z06 list. Magnesiums weren't an option for the Z06...especially considering they are smaller than Z06 wheels. It even had HUD on the list, which 2001 Z06's did not have.
