What do you think about granatelli exhaust? I have the Z06 Ti exhaust on my base model. I like what I've heard but not sure if the sound is going to be any louder to justify the switch. Can anyone let me know if the sound will be LOUDER?
I just bought and installed the Granatelli's this past weekend. I love the sound and looks. I have not heard the titanium Z06 exhaust in person, but I love the sound of my Granatelli's.
I'm kinda partial to the popping, sounds good to me. Running borla stingers and there is drone at times but doesn't really matter cuz I just crank up the tunes
I have the Granny exhaust...sound is great..fit can be a bear because everything is "adjustable" but I think I finally have it where I want it and pretty damn close to perfectly even.
I really doubt that the Granatelli system will be much louder than the Z06 Ti. Maybe just a little. I've had the Granatelli system on my '97 A4 for about 3 weeks and I really like it. Do a search. There's been a ton of threads and posts about this system.

My installer (muffler man for 15+ years) charged me $150 and said he did the best he could, and my tips are WAY off center in relation to my exhaust plate. Really pisses me off, because that's one of the reasons I bought this system. It was supposed to be so "adjustable". Other than the offset tips, I like my system just fine.

I did mine myself and got it pretty damn close. My recommendation (and what I will be doing at some point) is getting a couple single exit tips made. My issue isn't the centering...it's that the left side pipes were not 100% even...the left most pipe is just a hair lower than the other one (of the two).
I installed my Granatelli's today. Finished about 1/2 hour ago as a matter of fact. Sadly, the only thing I have to compare it against is the A&A exhaust mod. And it's a much better sound...louder too...without being very loud (I don't like very loud exhausts).
I really like the way mine came out. Some have complained about needing to re-align things after use. I've only taken it for 1 short cruise (maybe 3 miles) but it came back the way I left. so far so good.
Thanks for all of the info - I will stick with the Z06 Ti's since they will not be much louder.
Thanks,
TonyP.
Best to go to an all Corvette show. See if the guys will crank up some revs. Then listen to the different systems you are interested in. It's the only way to make a good choice. I find one audio clip sounds like all the others.

I love my Borlas, sometimes I wish it was louder like the bullets, but Ill happily stick with my Borlas for a DD, not too loud, yet not too quiet.
I love mine Ive had them on for a couple of weeks and couldnt be more happy maybe a little tame for me but once i get my headers that shouldnt be a problem and as for the alignment i think people got screwed bc i had a local shop throw them on for 75 bucks and they match up perfectly. Good Luck

Had mine installed two days ago. Wow what a difference! I recorded a video yesterday and I'll try to dump it via DV from the camera tomorrow. Cost me $94 after tax to have them put on. Installer did the best he could. They are lined up/straight perfectly except the left side sticks about 1/2" further out than the right two pipes. Oh well I say, as he told me "No aftermarket system is completely a perfect fit"
Now I found myself driving a bit harder to get the attention
I really need an X-pipe though; some like the popping but I think its annoying. Decelerating from 2400rpm's will go- pop pop gurgle pop pop pop. Anybody with an x-pipe found this to be the fix?

My Grannys don't pop or gurgle on de-acceleration. I have driven the car about 500 miles since I put them on and have ran the car fast, slow, etc. Just a great system..and I will put them on my z06 that i want very soon.
