Transmission Leak C5
I just bought a 2000 with 30,000 miles. I noticed a minor leak in the driveway, so I took it back to the dealer. He replaced the differential gasket... TWICE and it still has a leak.
Now he tells me that sometimes the factory gaskets aren't as good as an aftermarket.
He has offered to order an aftermarket gasket and try that, which means I won't have my car for a few more days.
I'm not sure if I should just live with the leak, or let him try again. Are these leaks pretty common?
BTW, I'm not being charged for any of this (covered under 30 day warranty) and the dealer is giving me a loaner car. It's just that I'm going nuts without my vette. But over the long haul, it would be best to get it fixed, right? [I probably just answered my own question]
