Default What a day.....

Must be Monday......Quite an interesting day......Headed out to work this morning before daylight and met a SKUNK (Deceased 5:37 a.m. 5-25-07) . Ripped left section of air dam off and left quite an aroma which is still with the car as I write this. On to work where things didn't get any better. 12 hours of frustration......THEN....Headed home and got to meet a Texas State Trooper up close and personal. Knew the day I dreaded had arrived. First words out of his mouth were....I pulled you over for a couple of reasons.....First...you have no front license plate as required by the state of Texas (#1 **** law in my opinion)...next...your rear license plate surround covers the state name (#2 **** law)... May I see your license, registration and insurance......Didn't think things could get worse but they did......Sir...Your insurance card shows to have expired in March...... At that time he said I will get back to you in a few minutes and walked back to his cruiser....

I always love a good ending to a story....so here goes.....When he returned... It must be FRIDAY!!! Lo and behold he was holding a "WARNING TICKET" BLESS HIM !!!!! I was sitting in the car waiting and thinking what I was going to tell the J.P......lol.....And he handed it to me to sign and just told me I needed to take care of the issues at hand and that was it.....Have a nice day and he was on his way....

Sorry for the long winded post but I was just sitting here with a cold Coors light and couldn't resist.... Now for the dreaded part..... I have to figure out how to make the car look decent with a front license plate ( I live in a small rural area and I know I will see him again on the commute to work ) and get a new rear surround....As for the insurance, I have a new card just did not have it in the car....

In a closing note just let me wish everyone a GREAT MEMORIAL DAY and let us ALL remember the ones that served and sacrificed that we may enjoy this great country we call home !!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!!

You lucked out, that is great! You must lead a good life, right?! Hope I am as lucky someday since I don't have a front plate and it is required in OR. Good way to start the holiday weekend, relax and enjoy now. Jon
