Service vehicle code, HELP!!!
My car threw a service vehicle code today along with a decreased engine power code too.. Has anyone ever had this before?? Does anybody know any reasons why the car threw the code or how serious it could be? Right after the car threw the code I pressed reset and turned it off and back on again and it hasn't showed up since, the car pulls fine I guess and doesn't seem to have any drop in power..

I'm relatively new to owning a Corvette myself, but you need to determine what the specific code is that caused the check engine light.
You can do that by pulling the current (C) and/or history (H) codes from the DIC. It might be something as simple as leaving your gas cap to loose or a vacuum leak (not knowing what code is the problem).
With those codes, you should be able to narrow down the system that is causing the code (C) and/or what codes have occurred in the past (H).
There are lists of codes if you do a CF search (I carry a complete list in my trunk) or go to this helpful site...http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Code_Main.html
Here's the procedure to check the DIC codes...

Follow this procedure and copy down every code that has either a (C) or (H) and either report back here for further assistance or use the other link. It's a little intimidating but easily done. With that information, someone will probably be able to tell you where to look based on the usual suspect systems.
The final option is to go to your friendly AUTOZONE or CHECKER and they'll plug in a scan tool. The C5/Z06 DIC does the same thing.
