Killer sound
I put these in the front http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_id=1167 with a set of Boston 6.5 in the back and a Blaupunkt 12" in a subthump box. Powered with a Planet Audio VX 3004and Kicker KX 350.4.......... very nice! The sound staging in the front of the car is unbelievable. I would highly recommend these to any and all owners that want a killer system Give them plenty of power
How and the heck did you mount that setup in the front! I would lite to see some pics of how you set that up. I am planing on building a system in the Z06 here soon looking for tips for the install.
So you do feel that the Price of $489.99 for the front speakers are justified?
I'm wanting to do a upgrade and I was looking for a post like yours.
Willing to spend the $$ to do it right.
Just don't want to put something in, that 200 will be just as adequate.
500.00 will get you a nice set of speakers. Also, plan on buying an amp. I probably have 1,200 invested in my Blazers front sound stage alone.
I just got my c5 over the weekend, and not sure what size speakers fit in te doors. However, I run CDTs in my blazer and am very happy with them. I runn 300x2 (RMS) to these puppies and they love every watt of it. I plan on running these (or similar) in my c5 while eleminating the rear speakers. IMO Rear speakers destroys the sound stage and the sound imaging. Trust me, with 600 watts flowing through your front speakrs, you will not miss your rears. I have played with many brands of spearkers, and CDT are supurb to all. just my 2 cents. M6 3-way
I built pods on the floor for the 4" mids. I'll post pics tomorrow.
