For the most part, the swap is super simple. It took me 3 hours and i moved super slow so as not to break anything. The hardest part is getting the hog rings removed. I had to reuse the hog rings but you could just use zipties and it would be much easier!
Definitely look at your seat foam bottoms and foam side bolsters...I bet they are cut to shreads from the frame rails and inflatable plates. I bought a pack of white terrycloth hand towels (12in x 12in) and placed one inside of each bolster and i taped the hell of out of the seat bottoms. I used hockey tape but any fabric tape would work. You'll see what i mean when you take everything apart. There are pictures in the thread i linked to above.
As far as new covers, you can simply replace them with OEM through one of the forum vendors, you could go to mid-america, al knoch, or one of the other aftermarket guys, or you could go all out and buy a set from vette essentials.
