Default Run Flats

What would everyone say is the best place to purchase 17" Goodyear run flats ? I have about 35500 miles and there is wear on the insides of both tires. My dealer checked front end alignment and it's perfect. He thinks maybe having the car sit for six months has caused the tires to have flat spots and then wear uneven on the insides. Hate to pitch the tires but they are alittle noisey. He suggested that next winter I put the car on jack stands.

Did you post a "want to buy" on the C5 parts wanted/for sale here on the forum? That's where I got mine.

Modern tires should not flat spot. For winter storage, pump them up to the sidewall maximum if you want.
The factory alignment settings which help turn in do cause inner edge tread wear. Some realign to 0 camber to minimize this, but performance suffers a bit. 35,500 miles on runflats is quite good.

Tirerack, Discount Tire, even Sam's Club are some prices to check for pricing.

I pump my tires up to 40 lbs. for the winter, per my conversation with GoodYear factory customer srvice. I also cut up some old carpet into 12" squares, and put 2 under each tire.

I got 12,500 miles out of my OE runflats, and they have about .020" until the tread bars. I did drive somewhat enthusiastically, but no burnouts, or anything really wild.

I purchased my Michelin runflats from Discount Tire Direct. You might want to purchase a set of four of the Michelins as they are a great improvement over the Goodyears. I paid $1088 incl free shipping for a set of four and had a local shop that they reccommended, mount & balance for $20/tire.

I bought the same tires at the same place and they are way better the the Goodyears, for sure. Of course I paid twice as much to have them installed.
