Every Day Driver Faster Then Corvette ?

I'll worry about that when the time comes. I guess I will have to put off getting married for now. It sounds terrible, doesn't it? For now I'm rolling in a vette, getting road head from the honey I just met.
btw i dont need to pick up girls , i have a girlfriend

oh yea , and the vette is only 2 years newer !!!
Utica, NY? This may have answered some of my questions.
I just bought a 97 Nassau Blue that i absolutly love , however with me being so young its not in good taste to drive it everywhee , especialy to school and to friends houses and parties.
I am really into drag racing at the local strip , but i do not want to drag the corvette at all. I drive the corvette maybe once a week , and the rest I drive my pride and joy
1995 Lincoln Mark Viii , before you laugh , let me just say that its top speed is over 155mph. Im getting 0-60 in about 5.8 seconds , and i still average 18 mph. I love the car because it is the ultimate sleeper , and is more comfortable then the corvette. It is by no means stock
True dual exhaust
Third cat removed
3200 stall converter
custom tuned chip by Dennis Reinhart (wich allows the speed govener to be removed)
air suspension removed
You may be thinking im nuts , theres no way that car is that fast , while it is and im not the only idiot who does this to these cars. Dennis Reinharts superchaged mark viii ran in the 11's.
So enough rambling , I drive this mark everyday almost , and take it to the strip on weekends , what should i do ?
I just sold my winter car and have come extra money do I
1. Buy headers and a supercharger for the lincoln ($2500) wich would deffiantly make the car faster then the vette
(the 4.6l superchargers are a lot cheaper then the vettes)or
1. Buy headers and new wheels for the corvette wich I drive just once a week ?
I would like your honest opinion , and no replies saying no way the lincoln would be faster then the stock vette !!!(cause it would)
Thanks A lot hope to hear to answers

My C5 gets close to 30 mpg In closing I would take a stock C5 against your blown mark 8 anyday of the week.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I would suggest leaving the Corvette alone, and tweaking the Mark a little bit more. It sounds like that's what you really want to do.

lol I have had a 1998 Mark VIII.... I had 3.73 gears... chip exhaust etc. The Mark VIII is WAY slower than the vette... even supercharged... you will be right around stock corevette levels.... mid/low 13s... They weigh about 3800lbs...
What website are you on? >>> For the Mark VIIIs... Markviii.org or mark8.org?
In no way shape or form would the mark be faster then the vette without a supercharger , but with one it would be close , very close . and maybe even faster , but i think people are missing the point , like your vettes make you happy , my lincoln makes me happy because its such a sleeper. imagine pulling up to a mustang with a punk driving it , and blowing its doors awat with a two ton granpas car !!! that gives me just as much pleasure as drving around in the vette

Your DD is much better than my 1988 Mazda 626 with 150k miles. Every panel gouged and faded, but I can park it anywhere

(Not implying the Lincoln is a "beater", its just the term I use for DD.)

HUH
I say leave the Vette be for now, and work on the Lincoln. That sounds like what you want to do, and modding anything is an ongoing and neverending process
Drive the vette. If it was a low mileage C2, C3 then maybe you would need the second car. As it is, the vette makes a great daily driver and the parts aren't unreasonable.
The lincoln is a great car, the last long trip I took in it, I got 30mpg, at 75-85 mph with the air on the whole way. Can I do that in my C5? I haven't had it long enough to know, but I'm betting it will.
The point is, your money, your cars, do what you feel. But the answer to your question is simple, the Mark can't touch the vette in top end, 0 to 60, and let's not even discuss trying to stay up with a vette on a nice windy back road......
But, I think that spending a like amount on either. You will get
more return for your money with the Vette........
Bottom line.....Do whatever floats your boat.........
