I've been reading through about five pages of HID threads, and it can get a bit confusing. I'm curious if there is a simple condensed "what you need to buy" list for converting your C5 w/ factory fogs to HID headlights with MATCHING HID fogs?
So anyone got a quick 1... 2... 3... working buy this, this, and this combo that matches w/ prices so us dummies don't have to read through fifty pages of material?
I have the #1 option and it was very easy to do. I was a great kit.
That's what I did too. I got my kit from the "bay" and installed it in 30 minutes. Significantly better than OEM light output and significantly cheaper than option #2.
Cool. My biggest concern though is that I have seen two 6K lamps that were different colors as well. I suppose I could just fleabay for lamps from the same manf for the fogs, and hope they don't get so hot they melt the plastic. :p

you need to decide what quality of light you're looking for.
Option #1 is the least expensive, but has it's drawbacks....(as you probably know by now if you have read all of the HID threads.)
If you went with option #1, get one of the ebay kits, they are the same exact thing, only half the price.
Option #2 will give you MUCH better lighting that is equal to factory HID's, but there is a higher cost...
as for HID's in the factory fogs........ again, get an ebay kit.
regardless of which HID kit you get (ebay bulb swap kit or ACA projector housings) color temp is another thing to think about...
if you want the best light output get 4300k bulbs (same as factory HID's), for a more blue colored light (and a little less light output) get 6000k, the higher you go in color temp, the more blue the lights will be and the less light output you will have.
