Getting tickets is easy if you are in the automotive business. They have really cranked down recently, so last year the rule was 2 people per shop unless you are exhibiting. I had to actually track down the lady in charge of registration in Vegas to get my friend in (no, it won't work for you...I had a special circumstance and had already talked to her about it.)

I will be there. I think I am staying in the Sahara. Bring comfortable shoes, there will be about 5 miles of walking.

I hope to be showing a race car that we are currently building for Super Chevy Magazine, but don't know if it will be done in time. (Check out the magazine to see the car.)

here ya go

The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world (PLEASE NOTE: THE SEMA SHOW IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC). It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. As part of the AAIW, the SEMA Show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from over 100 countries for unlimited profit opportunities in the automotive, truck and SUV, marine and RV markets. SEMA Show 2006 drew over 50,000 domestic and international buyers through two million square feet of exhibits. The displays are segmented into 11 sections, and a New Products Showcase features more than 2,000 newly introduced parts, tools and components. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities

Everyone is right. You need to have good connections to a shop of some sort. My Father-in-law owns a Diesel shop that we got tickets thru but it is a PITA and it costs 35-50 bucks??

We had to have TWO forms of ID that showed who we are and that we worked for the shop. They let you bring one guest (spouse) They said an Insurance card, Business card or the like would work and we used that method, (the business card) Oh yeah, PITA!!!

Good luck!!
