2002 z06 column lock
Just wanted to say that i reviewed a few threads on this problem and the information I read helped me fix my problem. I went outside and turned the steering wheel back and forth and the lock disabled. Next , I went on ebay and purchased the column lock bypass . I appreciate this site and the information on it. jc

Just for anybody that goes threw the column lock pain.... I went on ebay put steering column bypass in search engine, purchased the product, had it in two days ,now car is fixed. hope this helps ,jc

Installed CLB in my car in 2001 - first and only mod (unless you count CAGS).
I have had just about every other known C5 problem / issue with my C5 (thank goodness for GMPP!!!), but since installing CLB column lock has never been an issue.
If not for the informative info exchange on this forum, I would have never known about the CLB.

Well I used this forum for the diy directions, I was some what nervous because I was temping to take apart my 34k car. I followed directions, and I was done in about 35 min. It was very easy. I took my time too.

Basically all years of the C5 are subject to the column lock (except 2001 and up autos which were produced without the column lock).

That's funny that you would say that. I don't own a Vette yet! But I will. I'm just doing research rite now. So when I do get one I know what to take care of and what kind of mods I might want to get. Thanks
