I bought a 2000 corvette a few months back. Within days of getting it , the blower motor started to cut out. When you started the car and it wasnt blowing, you could tap on the motor and it would start up. I noticed there was some rust around the bottom of the shaft and around the tube coming out of the blower. I figured I would replace the motor. It started working all the time so I didnt bother. Now that the weather is getting warmer it doesnt seem to be pushing enough cold air so I though time to replace it. I went to check it today and found my carpet, and the foam on the panel to be wet. when I pulled the tube, alot of water came out. Where is this water coming from? I washed the car the other day, dont know if thats it. By looking at the tube, it goes out, then turns up by the firewall. How is the water supposed to get out when the tube turns up? Want to solve this before I put a new blower in. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks
I think I found the problem. The ac box drain tube was plugged. I couldnt get it off, but managed to squeese the blockage out. I couldnt belive how much water came spilling out. Much thanks to this forum, without it, I would have never found the problem.

Yep, you've got to 'milk' her every once in a while............do both sides, don't ignore one for the other. Plugged udders is a common issue with the C5s. It's a good idea to check these every few months.

That's it. Be glad you drained it before it dripped too much unto your BCM, that gets real costly.
