Heya Matt,
A fellow coworker just turned 50 today and was bummed out. He said he's over the hill now. I said no, you're now at the Top of the Hill and the ride down is twice as much fun as the walk up. I just bought mine about 6 months ago and having a great time with it and with all the friends I have met on the road and in this Forum. Here's a little Rally we did a few weeks ago out here in California down to the Coast and back. My daughter went along and video taped it and put it on YouTube with Music added. Really cool, if I say so myself. I'm leaving the Harley World and entering the Corvette World and having blast. Whatever model of Vette you get, you'll find a wealth of information and friends here in the CorvetteForum.
Welcome,
I am new as well, 50 years old and just picked up my 98 yesterday. I was just able to take it for a short drive and already have the fever!! The members here have already been great help with a question I had about a rear view mirror issue.
I feel like I'm armed now with the right questions to ask on my search for a clean C5. Thanks to bunch of you for the PM's today -- I still have to check out Rocket's video clip later.
Welcome Matt, I got my first Vette at 49 so I know the feeling. Beleive me you will enjoy it and this forum is the best, any time you have a question get on and post it and you will have your answer in short time! It really is a great place!

Howdy!
If I may offer some sage advice; ....get a red one.
They are faster, don't break down, attract more attention, prevent hair loss, and are more loyal!
Well,... that's what the salesman told me, and he wouldn't lie, ....would he?. Welcome!
Hi Matt & welcome to the dark side! Hang out on this forum long enough and you'll see everything imaginable on a C5. Then you'll start wanting it for your car. You'll go without food to be able to afford that oh so special exhaust system. Stock wheels just won't do for your baby. Maybe a little more power wouldn't be a bad thing. Beware the incurable "mod fever".
