American Racing headers now installed
It took me a couple weeks to find the available time to start the project.
A club member (C5 Hobo) offered to help and let me use his Bendpak 4 post lift. Having a 4 post makes it easier than doing everything on your back under a Vette sitting on jack stands ! Thanks C5 hobo
The AR headers package is the way to go. Everything you need in one box.
They look great, fit perfectly, sound great and there is a noticable improvement in low end torque. I have not had a tune yet so final results will have to wait a while....

I'm running mine through Borla stingers...
When we discussed doing the headers, my wife told everyone who said it will be a bit louder with headers .. that's OK I can't hear the mufflers now ( she is a bit hard of hearing)...
After the install she can definitiely hear them....

I'd like to hear a sound clip. If you have a video camera (a digital camera is fine, too, assuming that it has a video facility) to film it with, you could load the film on youtube or photobucket, for exmaple. Then put the link here and we could hear it.

Since I have a stock engine in terms of displacement, I ordered the 1 3/4 inch headers with AR's X pipe with 3x2.5 hi flow cats.
It bolted up perfectly with my Borla Stingers.
No issues. Perfect fit! They are well engineered. The fit for the 02 sensors is impressive there is only about 1/4 inch clearance

FinnZ06... I have never done that... I do use Photobucket.
I'll see if I can figure out how to do that... maybe my digital camera that can take short clips will work...

Arrrgh... The PC will not recognize the camera for some reason today...
hmmm. The camera was sitting in the Vette when when I missed a ground connection and the Vette threw a bunch of codes..
I wonder if it got ideas of its own??? Does anyone know if Digital cameras and DICs speak the same language???
