...."I have to also tell you that I do not work on my Vette in this area. I have a complete 30' X 40' shop with a two post lift in the back of the house...."

Looks great. I have to say that IMO you have the perfect setup insofar as having a separate work area from your daily storage and display of the car. Obviously not everyone can swing this, both $$-wise and space-wise, but you solve a lot of the classic dilemmas with this arrangement

Congrats on a job well done...looks super! I retired a couple months ago and it's my goal to make my garage look as good. Mine is only 2 years old, but I want to spiff it up with floor tiles, some accent paint, and decor. I have even been considering a juke box as you are. I like your paintings, and that is one of the hobbies that I projected for myself before retiring, as my wife is an artist and hopefully can teach me some basics before I drive her nuts. I like Corvette signs and have a bunch up on the wall already. Thanks for sharing! Jon

Well, send some pics when you get it done. As for taking the painting lessons, good luck! It is not as hard as it looks. I am sure your wife can lead you in an artistic direction. I am just beginning to get back in the painting. I am actually a 3-D guy. Here is a carving I did. I have done literally hundreds of these in my lifetime.

Well, several weeks ago I made some inquiries about garage floors. Here is what I came up with. My garage is 24 X 24 feet. I used Home Depot peal and stick Checkered Vinyl tiles. I did the entire floor for $167.04 plus tax. ($.29 per tile) Took about 4 hours to do the floor once I got started. It goes pretty fast if you don't run into problems. If someone tells you this stuff does not stick, try getting one off if you placed it down wrong. It sticks. Only time will tell how well it holds up. I have to also tell you that I do not work on my Vette in this area. I have a complete 30' X 40' shop with a two post lift in the back of the house. I painted the paintings of the large filling station, Brando and Elvis. I plan to do about 6 more of various iconic persons from the 50's - 60's. My wife thinks I am nuts. Also, the juke box is a cardboard cut out and I am currently searching for the real deal. If you have one for sale, let me know. Oh, the red color paint I used on the bottom half of the wall came from Lowe's. It is premixed red latex enamel. It was a close a match to the car as I could find. Any questions? I'd be happy to help you out.

now get a good quality sealer to use on the tile and it will help seal up the tile seams

Nice garage!!. You and I are on same path with the colors. I have been wanting to finish the floor and love the look you have. Might have to get these this weekend.
I had my wife make some black and white checker curtains for the windows and she also made some skirting to go around the work bench i built to cover up the roll out tool boxes underneath to keep it clean looking. Thanks for the post showing this awesome money saving floor option
