I posted this in the Z06 Discussion, but thought that everybody might get a kick out of it so... to those of you who see it again, I apologize.
So I drove past RK Chevrolet in Virginia Beach today and came across this 2002 Z06. It is actually relevant to showing the stupidity of this place that I drove in in MY 2002 Z that is immaculate. I started looking and almost immediately felt like crying. I have never seen a Corvette in this poor shape. It had 62,000 miles on it. The crack in the first picture is on the rear part of the front passenger side fender (just under the vent). The paint is junk all the way around... the real kicker is that the airbags have been blown!!!! I couldn't tell about the driver's side but the passenger side was definitely blown out and for all I could tell didn't even have a bag in it. The windshield wipers and washer ran non-stop as soon as you turned the key on. The wiper switch off of the steering column was actually broken pretty badly (i'm sure this is why the wipers run). Simply put, it was a sad sad Z06.
Here comes the kicker... sit down... the asking price... $38,500!!!!!
Their FINAL OFFER was $34,000. I said some choice 4 letter words, laughed so hard I almost wet myself and walked out. Later I went back to take the pics for you fine folks. When I was taking them, a salesman came over and tried AGAIN to convince me it was a good deal! What a bunch of morons!
This got posted on the Z06 side. It makes it even more unbelievable.

Hmmmm... if I say no then I am ashamed as a Vette owner. I was probably too pi$$ed at the time to see. Was it the red Z with "Mean Z06" on the plates that you saw me in, or test driving the black POS?
+1... I also hate RK with a passion. I've been there several times and given them several chances with several different salesmen and several different managers and have stormed out of the dealership everytime. I don't know how they sell a single car. They breed a whole new type of sales over there. I would definately never recommend RK Chevrolet to my worst enemy.
Disclaimer: I appologize to anyone who is deeply in love with RK. I just can't stand them.

Like anyplace else...if you know people, you get better service. It helps my father went to school with a lot of the big wigs there.
Why would you be "so pissed?" It's just a car for sale. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
A CHEVROLET dealer tries to sell me a Corvette at way above top dollar (this part I expect). They treat me like crap as a customer, use every "trick" in the book to make a sale, and only after I get home do I find out it is not only a POS like I saw in person, but has documented frame damage which they forgot to mention. That wouldn't **** you off?
