A friend just bought a 2004 C5, 6 spd, that he plans to use for roadtrips. He is considering a VaraRam system. Any comments from people who have done this modification will be appreciated. I will pass along to him.
Have had a vararam on both my C5's with no issues. Sitting in the box they come in the set-up looks kinda cheap and cheesy. Installed on the car though, it blends in well and works nicely.
I installed mine without too much trouble. To be honest I can't tell a huge difference.
Take it to the dragstrip! I picked up more than 3 tenths and 3 mph with my Vararam, went from 13.17 at 106 down to 12.81 at 109.4, with the same 60ft times (and the weather conditions were more favorable on the runs before the Vararam, meaning my gains were even better)
Throttle response is noticably improved with the Vararam, you can definitely feel it right off idle and when the trans shifts into second (and especially on the shift to third) there is no longer that huge drop in performance, the engine just keeps pulling.
