3.42 or 3.73 ???
I have a 97 Vette with the dreaded 2.73 gears !!! In your guy's opinion wich set of gears would you recomend for a car that is NOT! my daily driver ? 3.42 or 3.73
I have the 3.73 gears from a super coupe in my daily driver 95 mark8 with a 3200 torque converter, and it kicks like a mule! however sometimes it gets a little old!!!
P.S. To take it a step further is a torque converter worth the money? , and if so how much are we talking for the gears and tc ??? thanks a lot

What kind of HP does it put down?
Also, will you be drag racing at all???
(if it were me, I'd be going with a high TC and 3.90's or 4.10's)
Good luck...

Then my personal vote is TC and 3.73 (or be talked into 3.90)..
Your neck will hurt either way (in a very good way)...

cool , thats what i want to hear . i wouldnt mind going to 3.90's as long as it would still be ok and comfortable to drive on the street once in a while.

If I to do over again... I would go with 3.73's instead of 3.42's
Still may make the change, will see after a SC goes on the car.
