I just posted this in the Scan and Tune section as well. I thought I might get a little more coverage if I post in the general section as well.
I just installed my first wave of modifications and love them; however my new corsa exhaust system chokes and burbles when I let off the gas or in down shift mode. It sounds awesome going up, but not so good coming back down. I bought the mods from zip. I asked if I was supposed to get it tuned after the changes. They told me that the computer would adjust to the modifications. I do not believe this is true in my case. Posted below are the changes that I have made for now!
[I]Cold Air Intake and Hood Sea
Kooks 1 7/8" LT Headers w/ 2 1/2" CRSSOVR W/CONVRTR
Corsa Pace Car Exhaust w/ TigerShark Tips (I have a concern about the installation of the exhaust below!)
[I]New Iridium Plugs
New Plug wires
Concerning the exhaust – As I am understanding from Zip, the system design is revamped and we cannot get the space in the center to match the left and right side pipes that of course or mated together in one piece. I will post a pick later today when I run by the office and grab my Dig. Camara
Anyway, who is the guru tuner in the Richmond Virginia and surrounding areas? I have no problem traveling a bit if I need to find the right guy!!!
Thanks for all your help in advance – You guys have been allot of help to me!!!
Most of the time an x-pipe will help quiet decel pop and burble, but it doesn't always eliminate it. I have the corsa indys with the corsa x and although the popping is minimal it is still somewhat present. Now if all you had was a catback then a tune would not be required, but since you've got headers too, then you definately need a tune. A good tune will not only smooth out the exhaust sound a little bit, but it will also maximize your hp gain from those mods.

Not sure about tuners in your area. Good luck.
Yes the x-pipe stopped most of the popping on decel.......
