or black electrical tape on the little prongs that hold it to the wheel. add a piece to a couple prongs. put it on. add more tape if needed to keep it tight. i only needed a few of the prongs to have tape on them to tighten up a very sloopy front wheel center cap.

My solution is, shall we say, unconventional! I take the one sided razor blades used for scraping paint, etc. off glass, put one in my vice...blade down to the aluminum "holder", bend it back and forth with pliers until is snaps off. I then use side cutters to cut the "holder" into four pieces. I then use flat nosed pliers to gently wedge the non rusting "holder piece" in the gap between the center cap and the wheel. Sometimes it takes two or three pieces to stop all off the cap movement, but it works and they stay in place for months at a time. Bonus!!!!! NO rust and you can't see them unless u r looking for them. In Oklahoma we call this sort of thing "Southern Engineering"! Be sure to safely disgard of the broken blade.
