do a search for Column lock Recall or Column Lock Bypass (CLB)

I just went through this so I feel your pain.

Here we go again...

It could also be your VATS kicking in. Try using your spare key or cleaning the pellet.

Clean the pellet on your key first, but I would still go ahead and get a Column Lock Bypass.

Good for you. But you are not out of the woods on this. IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN and you may not be so lucky the next time. I see a tow truck in your future UNLESS you install the CLB very soon.
