Just wondering...Has anyone experienced a plugged A/C drain tube and just left it off. It's in a pretty sheltered location and the drain pipe does extend out from the firewall...any downside to just leaving it off?
I just cleaned mine out. Removed the batt.
I personally wouldn't remove it becayse it appears to take any H2O away from the computer and its wiring. Just clean it out. It's just like the udders under the drivers windshield wiper blade, but a lot longer.

Is there a sticky or any instructions for cleaning the tube available? I had to replace the HVAC blower motor in my old '99 coupe due to the clogged a/c tube - laying on your back in the passenger-side footwell and fumbling around with your fingers up under the dash to remove the screws wasn't much fun!

I'm not talking about the long udder. I'm talking about the L-shaped tube that sits behind the engine on the firewall. I removed it...to clear what I thought was a blockage in the tube...there was nothing clogging the tube..but once I removed it ..water started dripping onto the garage floor...so...if I took it off... and it didn't have anything clogging it ..but water started to drain with it removed...you can see why I don't want to put it back on. Just wanted to know if anybody else runs with theirs off.....
