When my car is not running the top rad hose collapses in the middle (just doesn"t hold its round shape) other than that it looks fine the car doesn't get hot its only got 40,000 miles but is 5 years old - its an 02 should i need to replace it or is it fine?
cheers steve
This happened to me one time. I noticed the radiator hose was flat. I opened the cap on the radiator overflow tank and it filled back up, and I have never had the problem again! That was months ago.

Also, might top off with DexCool if it's a little low.

Replacing your overflow tank cap will usually prevent this from happeing again.
When mine did this I opened the cap and the hose opened up and I watched it for the next few days and it didn't happen again but I got a new cap anyway on advice from the Forum. The new cap is a 18lb cap versus the original 15lb. I checked and re-checked with GM and 18lb is all they sell for the C5 now, haven't had any issues with the 3 lb difference.
