Default Help with lowering

Been looking at lowering my 03 Anniv. Want to get rid of some of the fender/tire gap. Have new tires and wheels. SSR GT3's 18x9.5 front and 19x11 rear. Tires are BFG KDW2, 275/35 front and 295/35 rear. This has the Magnetic ride suspension. What would be the best way lower the gap by approx. 1"? I haven't read any posts commenting directly on the magnetic suspension. I don't want it slammed, just a reasonable drop but still allow some traversing of speed bumps and curbs. Any help would be great.

Default Instructions?

Are there directions for lowering the front and rear with the stock bolts somewhere? I have read that the rear needs a lowering kit with longer bolts, is this correct? Just need a little guidance to do the lowering correctly. After lowering, is an alignment necessary?

Here is a tech article on how to lower it. You dont need lowering bolts for the rear unless you want it slammed all the way down. Yes you need to get a four wheel alignment after you lower it. I would drive the car around for about a week before you get the alignment just to make sure that everything gets settled in.

Default Thanks

Thank you for the tech tip on lowering. How much drop should I see by using the mentioned technique? Looking for an inch or so. Not too much, just enough to close the fender/tire gap some.

Hello,
Just read the intructions that you posted for lowering the vette. Three questions:

1. Is the proceedure the same for the magnetic suspension (f55)?

2. Is 100 miles (the distance to a reputable mechanic) too far to drive the car to get a wheel alignment?

3. How much lower will car be???
