I’m one old mo fo and I’ve been retired for the past 4 years. In my last life I was a finance guy. BTW.....retirement is GREAT!! Can't believe that I still can't find enough time to drive the Vette as often as I would like....but I'm working on it.
Age 22, USMC. buying a high mileage C5, with lots of mods and basically a rebuilt drive train. Smart decision? probably not, but tell me that when I'm behind the wheel of my dream car. It will be my daily driver, and it will sit outside under a cover. Will I get anything out of it when I sale it, no ask me if I care.
if I had rich parents and that bought me a Vette, would I turn it down heck no. I don't think that alone makes me a bad person. But i will say this, having done what I've done (sacrificed to save money etc.) I sure appreciate that more and it makes it all the sweeter.
