Looking at the GP for Ruff wheels has got me curious. I don't really know much about them so I'm looking for some feedbback. I really liked the 278s in black but before I buy I would liketo know how others feel about them. Quality? How do they fit? Is the "high polish" lip easy to keep a nice shine? Thanks.
Thats the thread that got me thinking. Isn't it Ruf that does Porsche? Is Ruff a different company? I don't know, I'm not to familiar with Porsche. Anyways, the wheels are cheap. They don't look to be THAT heavy, heavier than my mags but not that bad. They look nice, at least in the picture on that thread. I am loving the 278s in black. I think they would look sharp on my car but I have never really heard anything on the wheels. Never heard a good or bad comment. I'd rather not spend $600 on crap. But if they are of decent quality they fit what I've been looking for, black rims with a chrome/polished lip.

Ive never used any of their wheels, but Ruff Racing is a company based out of South Florida...nowhere related to RUF of Porsche. They have some very sharp wheels, but I dont know anything about their durability or weight.

I'm sure they're OK wheels, but you have to realistic; the quality and fit are probably going be worse than stock (although they'll look better), because they're very inexpensive wheels. I could see you saying, "I don't to spend $4K on crap", but for $600 total, you shouldn't expect too much.
i bought a set of 278's and tried them on my 04 coupe. i had 18x9.5's with a 45mm offset all the way around. on the rears the spokes hit the rear calipers pretty bad. they sent me some spacers and i spaced them out 1/4". they still hit. i don't think they fit but they insisted that they do.
i've got stock brakes so i don't know what the problem is/was. the bolt pattern is 5x120 vs 5x120.65 which is stock.
the owner, victor, was a nice guy though. refunded my money in full!

I wasn't expecting much. In a perfect world I'd be ordering some iForged Aeros. Just can't justify spending that much on rims when that money can make my car faster.

Good looking wheels...not sure about the sizes though. Would like to see a wider version, especially for the rears.
18 x 8.5 18 x 9.5
19 x 8.5 19 x 9.5
