Pure water is an insulator not a conductor of electricity. So if you crash into lake Tahoe, your electrical system should work fine under water.
Now the ocean, and your elecrtical system would freak out.
When I was a kid we learned to mix salt and water in a water bottle and spray the mixture into the dollar slot of coke machines. The machine would freak out when it hit the circuit boards and spit out cokes and change like crazy. Once, one caught on fire
I was talking with someone and they said that if enough water gets in the car the trunk and doors will automatically pop open to allow for you to escape. Is this true?

Yes..here's another one. Don't let your wife/husband catch you with your girlfriend/boyfriend.
[QUOTE=MyVetteDream;1560688298]I tried to test that when I first got my ride... but got scared before the water went all the over... but the car ran fine and windows worked!
Not a bad job BTW (difficult photochop exercise (a partially submerged car))
Not sure about water, but I have confirmed that if you spend too much time at the McDonalds drive-thru, the doors will be forced open.
All I know about water from reading Forum posts is if the car is completely submerged most systems may still work, but if you wash your engine with a hose it will destroy it?
