Cooling system additive?
I'm going on a trip tomarrow in this nice Florida heat; does anyone think that Quick Kool additive is worth putting in the cooling system or not? (at least I think it's called Quick Kool). Or should things like that be avoided? Thanks
A third vote for Water Wetter. I had good results with the motorcycle and use it in a generator. Works great. If you need more info search some of the motorcycle forums.
Installed a 160 stat and had fans reset to on at 190 off at 185 running a 25% green prestone H2O mix with 1 bottle of Purple Ice.
In 107* heat, stop and go traffic on the freeway temp was holding around 185-193.

OK! I took the advice on Water-wetter and I just got back tonight.
I have to say I am very impressed! At least 15 to 20 degrees cooler!
Thanks everyone, By the way the "Vettes at the Village" car show in St. Augustine was AWESOME!
