My 2000 has only the head unit AM/FM/CD . Can I add a 12 disk cd changer in trunk w/ wire harnes going to head unit? The chev dealer said no I needed a nother H. U. Thanks markoo
If I turn to hard it skips. If I use CD-R's it works 50/50.
Dont tell me I'm the only one with a crappy unit.
I have an Alpine 6 or 10 disc in the Garage. Is there a way to remove my old unit. Use an adapter. And Plug in my Alpine CD Changer to the stock bose system?

Why carry 12 discs in the piece of crap changer when you can have 250 or more CD's on an IPOD? Don't waste your time on the changer
I have the 12 disc changer and have had no problems even with CDRs. Call me old school. 15 + hours of music in the car is plenty enough for me, and I'm a disc jockey.
I am about to install a changer in the wife's '02 C5 that didn't come with one. You need to find the two connectors in the passenger footwell next to the fuse box and connect the COR-HAR cable to it then run that to the rear center well where you'll mount the changer. The cable is expensive ~$65 new if you can't find a deal on it or find a used one. Also, you'll either need the factory changer mounting brackets that attach to the tub so you can hang the changer or fashion up yourself a custom mount.

Maybe Mine needs a cleaning of some kind.
I can predict when the music will quit based on the size of the bump in the road.
Still any change of an aftermarket Alpine changer with an adapter of some kind Replacing my current 12disc changer? The Alpine does Mp3 Cds which is quite cool. Ofcourse I would need the stock radio to run it...
The only thing better than listening to a classic rock station is working as a DJ on a classic rock station. If you get down this way (wichita falls) check us out at 104.7 the Bear. Our signal gets out to about 30 miles North of Lawton.
BTW, my Program Director use to work for the KATT in OKC.
We live in a small town about 40 miles south of Nashville. For some reason they seem to play a lot of country music around here! It would sure be nice to find a station that doesn't play the same songs over and over 24/7!
