i tried changing every bulb on the right side but my turn signals still flash fast.. Only on the right side though... and the DRL wont light up on that side. i tried switching the mini relays in the car around and the right side still doesnt work. Is there any grounds or anything in the bumper that might cause this?
In my experience a fast blinking flasher means that there is a bulb burned out. You said your DRL on that side is out. There have been some posts regarding the ground attachments and their need of cleaning. This could be indeed your problem if you are absolutely certain that the new DRL bulb you installed is fine. If you have an ohmeter which is part of a voltmeter you can check the filament inside the bulb to see that it is OK. Bulbs can go out almost immediately some times, it is sort of a crap shoot. Try a search for the thread containing an awesome explanation on the location and cleaning of the grounds. they are located on the frame in the engine compartment one on each side. They are easy to find as they look like a big rectangular automotive electrical plug in, they are also bolted to the frame. Who knows that may be your problem. I wouldn't just assume that the bulb you just installed is perfectly fine until you have checked it. Good Luck
I just had the same problem on my 98. I changed all of the bulbs and still out. Front blinked fast and rear was out. Hazards worked fine though. D and M corvette checked all grounds and it turned out to be a bad turn signal switch.
the other problem that can cause this is a corroded socket in the front housing.
Can be one or more of:
Defective bulb (volt/ohm meter will test)
either battery or return lead is open
bulb holder has failed
you can check all with a good vom.
Don't know on the vette but I do know that on f bodies
the seal can fail causing corrosion of the fixture
and shorting out the holder
