It's a bit pricey, but I think just judging off of the pictures that it looks FANTASTIC.

bit pricey not sure about that. Based on the current cost of stainless steel, the R&D that went into the product and the cost of getting the insert cut or the machine to make the cuts. It seems reasonable.

Oh forgot about the most important one, GM harping on his *** for their share because of the C5 logo and the word corvette

I think it looks VERY sharp! Even nicer than the most tricked out painted hood blanket!

As you can see, these pieces would entirely replace the hood blanket.

Peace

I think it looks great - has anyone on here installed it? Any issues with sound dampening or engine heat transfer to the hood?

Thats gotta add a lot of weight to the hood. Will the gas springs support it?

That's absolutely amazing looking!!!! I think it could do without the skinny center section between the two large pieces, but other than that, it's perfect. I wonder how it would look in a brushed finish with the engraving left as-is?

Chip, how much are you talking for that setup???

That looks pretty good. How do the pieces attach to the hood?

Sean,

I just looked over the manufactures parts list and I don't see a brushed option for this set up....

You have a PM regarding price.

Peace

I just want to let you know that I purchased stuff from that guy in the past and he was great to deal with him names escapes me though....

However, the stainless steel stuff scratches like crazy....at least my doorsills do

He doesn't put prices for some of his stuff or advertise it because it is too "custom" and very labor-intensive, meaning only a handful have ever been made....one thing I remember being a custom front plate cover....it looked really sharp and is like $300 and at the time (over a year ago) he said that only 2 were ever made. If anyone happens to talk to him you should ask about the front cover and post a picture of it

Exactly what I thought. And it will probably retain a lot of heat.

I do like it, but stainless is not easy to keep up with and every time you clean it you risk scratching it.

I would hate to see the double back tape fail you on this one.
