Thinking Twice
So, today i went out and decided to test drive a few cars, for two reasons: lower payment, and better gas mileage. So i test drove a Acura TL, it was nice, roomy, and decently priced, but just didn't feel like me. Next i drove a mazda speed 6 which has the 4 cylinder turbo engine. Its stock 0-60 is estimated from 5.8 - 6.1/s. So i figured i would give it all it was worth. So i was getting on the on ramp and gave it all she had, it pulled strong from 0-40 mph already having to shift to second and getting it to about 4k rpm. When this rpm and mph hits it feels like the car just dies, and i mean it took forever to get from 40-60-80. I felt like i could run faster than the car. So much for critics.. The car also felt to be poorly made (in my eyes). I was going to test a Rx-8 for the heck of it since it is supposed to have almost identical track times but the sales person advised me to stay away from them b/c he sees more of them coming back in for repairs then going out as a sale.. So now im at a crossroads, whether to bare the high payments as i approach college graduation and stay broke for the next year or try and resolve this by parting ways and finding a new buddy until i can clearly afford the payments of the vette.

P.S. IM AN AMERICAN DOING JOBS AMERICANS WON"T DO!
P.S.S. The point is,,,, how bad do you want,,,,fill in the blank!
When I was your age. Just got married wife and I both working
Went and looked at the "NEW" split window 63 Vette. Thought it was the most beautiful car I had ever seen. Couldn't afford $95 a month
payments. So, bought a 63 Impala SS 409. After a couple kids. It took me 20 years to
buy that midyear Corvette finally. If I had to do it over. I'd have got another job to get that Vette and you got it already. If you really
like it,do whatever to keep it. Sh+t happens and the next thing you know
it's 2027 and everybody's driving corn burning junk and Vettes are
200K...............
But whatever you decide "Good Luck"

I just hate having a vette and putting miles on it since its my daily driver.. it should be sitting in my garage waiting for me to come home with my work car. sigh.. find me a 02 z06 for 26k and decent miles and i would work 40+ while doing fulltime college..

You might find yourself buying grandma's Century and saving a ton of $ over the next few years. Just an example. Save $$; put them in special account for x years. Buy low mileage car of your dreams--cash.
Just a thought.
I friend of mine who makes $8 per hour found a 67 Mustang that needed a ton of work. I told him he should put 25 cents in a big water jug everyday. In 68 years, he would have saved enough money to buy the car and put it in cherry condition. Sorry about that.
I hope I did not embarass him.
