What's cheaper, fixing/rechroming them or should I just replace them with another style wheel? What's a good lookin' aftermarket wheel set for the money?

if they're stock, i'd get new wheels. you'll be amazed how a new set freshens up the look of the car.

Unless its cheaper to rechrome the stock 5 spoke wheels, I'll probably do that. But I dunno yet...

Stock thin spokes are not chrome to begin with. They are polished aluminum.
They can be 'chromed'.
