Memory and EXT Temp problem. HELP! Codes Posted
When I start my car the steering wheel and seat move about 1/4" and stop, and my driver outside mirror moves all the way tilted down where you see the ground. The easy entry access is off. If I start the car with the door open it will not do this.
And yesterday when I was driving, the Exterior temp. was only showing 58F° and is was 102F° outside.
I have looked and not seen any threads on these. Please Help

OK, for the exterior temp problem, that sounds like the external probe is going bad, or there is a bad connection to it. It is located up under the front end, and is easy to change and cheap tp get at a local dealer.
For your memory problems, I am assuming you have your settings memorized, correct? Before you get in the car, do you hit unlock on your FOB? Are there any diagnostic codes being logged?

Settings are memorized, it happens any time I get in car using fob to unlock or just opening the door to get in. As for checking codes I have never done this. I have only had the car for 6 months and never had a need to check for any codes. I know there have been threads on how to do this. Could you advise procedure on checking codes.
Search again for your external temp sensor, I have personally posted a picture with instructions to change it about a dozen times. As for the memory, you need to set it, then push the unlock on the fob before you put the key in to go back to that position. If you just open the door and insert the key, the memory will not activate unless you press the correct memory button on the door. If you don't press the fob, the car doesn't know which of the three programmable memory settings to use. Lots and lots of posts about both these issues.

Here are the codes. B2282/B2283 battery#1 fault, B2284/B2285 battery #2 fault, B2262 Horizontal position sensor fit, U1064 loss of comm. w/BCM, U1096 loss of comm. w/IPC, U1016 loss of comm. w/PCM Do these need to be re-set/cleared or do I have a problem somewhere ? Some of these may have been in computer since purchase.

I would clear ALL of the codes, drive the car for a day or two, and see if any re-post.
You need to understand that turning OFF the Easy Entry feature does not affect MEMORY. The car will still respond to the key fob (#1 or #2) and position seat, mirrors, etc. based on which fob unlocks the car, regardless of Easy Entry. Easy Entry only moves the seats to the "full back" position when you go to exit the vehicle. If you have that OFF, and previously used fob #1 to open the car, then using fob #2 to open the car will cause seat/mirrors/etc. to go to the programmed position for that fob EVEN THOUGH Easy Entry is OFF.
Turn to page 2-7 (in my 2001 Owner's Manual) and it explains how to set the Memory option.
