Hey Everyone,
Just got my account here. Have been reading this forum for some time and just got my 1st C5. I have a Black 1995 and now a 1998 Majestic Amethyst Metallic one.
Kind of an accident but a good one at that. Glad it happened. From what I've read here I think I made a good choice. You all made my decision easier from reading all your posts. It's still in Nebraska though and I will pick it up the 1st of July and enjoy the ride home. Just thought I would stop in and say Hi..I know, I know, I will get some pics when I get back from the north. Don't have any yet. Later....

Since we both have C4's and C5's...do you find the C4's seats "feel" better?...both are ok but I really like it when I get into my '95 Sport seats as opposed to the '04 Sport seats...just my .02...

Hey Yello95, I do feel the C4 has a better feel to the seat. But I think the C5 has a better seat for the long haul. I haven't been in the C5 long enough to compare them yet. I have only drivin' it about 50 miles or so. Just long enough to drive it to my In-Laws and park it in the garage till I can get back up there again to get it. I know it's going to be fun.

I guess the color is Medium Pearl Purple, not Majestic Amethyst Metallic. I looked on the build sheet. I just posted the Metallic because I saw it on the internet somewhere. So I guess it's Purple. Looks good though.

This site seems credible. According to them 215 coupes, paint code 95U "MAJESTIC AMETHYST METALLIC" coupes were produced in 1998.

Well, I stand corrected then. Majestic it is. It says Med. Pearl Purple on the build sheet though. Guess I will use both if I can pronounce "Amethyst",

Congrats on your car, it sounds like a beauty! I'd love to see a picture, I"ve never heard of that color.
