Default Tomzwheelz??????????

Who else has had problems with TOMZWHEELZ?
I have bought 3 sets of wheels from them in the past and lately they have been a pain to deal with. You can never speak to the person you ask for? Never given acurate information. The only person you can talk to is the chick who picks up? I guess I can send my business to HOUSE OF WHEELS.

But my clean deal was direct to his website and for different wheels. Very pleased.

I bought a set of Asian junk Motorsports from them once. They never would balance out properly. My order was screwed up also. They had 2 wheels the others were on BO, then they couldnt be had at all.....had to send back the 2 they did send, then they sent me 4 different wheels alltogether. It was a PIA, but none-theless, they did what they said they would......still I wasnt happy with the China made crap & sold them soon after the purchase.

I bought a set of Hyper Silver wheels a couple of months ago and can't say enough good things about Tomzwheels! I spent quite a while on the phone with a knowledgeable employee who ran through all the various options and sizes...the next thing I knew they were delivered to my door!

I haven't heard of anyone else that has had a problem so all I can think is that this is an isolated incident!

I have ordered two sets of wheels from Tom, and the service and experience was great both times! The only problem I have is trying to get their web site to work...

I have also had horrible experience with tomzwheels, i ordered the replica motorsports. They only gave me 3 centercap stickers. I payed for standard lugs and locks, and they only sent me lugs. And to top it all of i found out the hard way that they gave me the wrong size lugnuts! After my rims were put i drove two feet, and made a slight left turn and feelt and heared my front right rim pop off. I was freakin out at first because i thought it stripped the threads on my axle. Thankfully all was well, Ended up solving the problem by going down to kragen and buying a new set for $25. End result, i expected a lot more considering lots of people on this forum talk greatly about them, but my experience was absoutly horrible and i will probably never order anything from them again.

We work very hard to make sure all orders are done correctly but we are human and occasionally something goes wrong. If that is the case I would appreciate it if you would contact us so we can correct the problem.

Thanks

Just a thought here. You thought well enough of them to buy three sets of wheels from them. You know full well that Tom is available through the forum (through PM). You had one problem and instead of trying to go straight to Tom you drop a bomb on him here in open forum???

At the moment it sounds like you are not being fair to the vendor and owe him an apology. If you go to a vendor (ANY vendor) long enough you will eventually have some type of incident where the sale doesn't go exactly as planned. The important thing at that point is how well that vendor handles the problem. You do have to give them a fair chance to take care of you though.

This is an interesting post. I too had an unfortunate encounter with Tom himself back around Christmas of '06. I thought it was perhaps an isolated incident, so I never posted here about it. I ordered wheels from him on ebay and paid immediately. I never got any confirmation of the order being accepted, money received, nothing for over a week after I ordered, except for the PayPal receipt. Consequently, I posted negative feedback. I called after the 7nth day and spoke to a woman there and asked for an order status. I expected no more than that. I didn't care if the order had shipped yet or not, it was Christmas and I knew shipping may be slow. She said she would have to check on it and get back with me. She didn't get back to me, but Tom sent me an email that day, giving me Hell for the negative feedback and for asking for a tracking number before the order had time to ship!?? After several emails explaining to him I only wanted order status and not a tracking number, he still did not relent. You would have thought I shot his dog or something. He was vicious, telling me I must think I am so special as to deserve some kind of preferrential treatment, they did nothing wrong, they did their job, blah, blah, blah. The guy was insulting and dogged me out because he dropped the ball and his girl couldn't get the message right. He also told me he would never sell to me again. Pretty sh*tty treatment, IMO and he deserved the negative feedback. That's a lot of money. He should have kept me (and anyone else) informed. I have no complaints about the product. The wheels are nice. The communication s*cked. Just be aware of his volatility, if you order from him. Not at all the professionalism I expected or have experienced from other vendors.

bashing a forum vendor on a thread should be a LAST RESORT when you get absolutely no satisfaction from the said vendor, definitely not your first option . Just my 0.02

Had the same problem. I wanted to order a nice set of wheels from him but everytime i would call they'd say they had to wait until they got an order of 10 to get them at the discounted price but yet they were on ebay for the same price. They said they would call me once they had 10 orders placed. They never called I called about 20 times and no one could give me a straight answer. I basically gave up.
