VIN numbers on engine ??? Mileage ???
Is there anyway to check the mileage on an engine that's been
put into a car....like through a VIN number or Chevy ID numbers..?
Or do you just have to take someone's word on it.

Depends on who replaced it. If a dealership replaced it there should be a record or sticker in the door jamb with the miles that were on the car when it was replaced. Maybe some sort of receipt of when it was installed? You just gotta be a detective on this one.
