Alternator question
Does anyone know of a local shop that rewinds alternators? Not looking for a place that just sends them away to a "Acme Remanufactured Crapola" business, but one which does the job the right way itself.

As an Audio guy, i suggest AGAINST re-winding alternators. If you're trying to get more power, re-winding them will result in premature failure because the components used simply weren't designed to generate additional power.
If you want a high output system, rushpowersystems.com has the best price i've found ($475 shipped) for a 200 amp model

No trouble codes and produces a steady 14.4-15.0V at cruise and 13.8V at idle with my 1000W system blaring.
