great product; 5 years parts and labor. Installation comes as part of the package, although some might try to sell you the materials. Do not even try to install it youself, as you will be sorry. Even guys who tint windows have a problem getting a good job done.
I have researched this thoroughly, looked at cars at dealerships, talked with the vendor himself, etc. I have also talked with guys who have purchased it.
Depending on how much you want to protect, you could spend 600 to 100 or more. In my opinion, well worth it.
And I do not sell it; I do not work for 3m or a related company. Just a car lover.
Yes! It works great! I have a white car and you can barely see it.
except mine's t/red.
If you can make it to the D/FW area. I highly recommend Ron Gorski and his stepson Houston of X-pert installation in Denton, Tx. They installed 3M on mine last summer and were working out of the RUF Porsche dealorship, there in Denton. These guys do SUPER nice work. They work on the exotics Lambos, Ferraris, Porsche's, and of course Vettes. I went with their full wrap. Custom cut. Front bumper, hood (apx. 24 in.), pop up lights, front fenders, wheel wells and rockers (they can do it all). Great work at a reasonable price.

If you want to come down to Houston, I am a trained installer. Shoot me a PM if interested!
I don't suppose anyone has any photos of what this looks like installed on a black front bumper?
Also curious how these look after they take a few gravel hits? Do they need to be replaced often to keep them looking new?
They don't have to be replaced at all. Mine has been on for two years and it looks like it was just put on yesterday. They really like to be waxed and polished too.

Had mine done in February..cost about 650.00. Most people never see it until I point it out.
In March, while travelling on the evil highway known as I-4,west of Orlando,as I was passing a dump truck,a somewhat large piece of what looked like gravel fell out and hit the front of the hood,(I think) and bounced up and over the car, just missing the top of the windshield...and our exposed heads..(top down)..anyway,I'm not sure what it hit in front, but there is no mark anywhere...So yeah, me likey the 3M product.
There is no reason why you couldn't just 3M the nose and not the hood and fenders right? About what ballpark $$ is that?
Thanks!
Cost won't be much different as the product comes in a pre-cut kit and the hood and fenders are the easiest part.
Check with your installer to see if he has a lift or ramps designed for your Vette. If he doesn't have either and you have the ramps...bring them along on application day. You'll be making his job much easier.
As mentioned before...$650 sounds about right. If you want the 3M and not other products available make sure the installer uses and orders it.
This is the 3M product. I had it done on my lights (both on the paint and on the lenses), the bumper (paid for the extra long piece so they could do the hole front bumper with one piece - highly recommend it so you dont have connection lines), and did not have the hood done. On a back car you will see the hood piece at certain angles. Its very hard to see mine.
Sorry this is the best photo I have of the front....I'll take another later.
