I have a KOI pond and have trouble with Herons eating the fish. Problem solved with a device called a Scare Crow. It’s a pulsating lawn sprinkler that is connected to a motion detector. The sensivity is adjustable. $80 or so from either AZPonds.com or Dr Foster & Smith. When it detects motion it sprays for 3-4 seconds. Your car may get wet but no bird or cat problems.
