Advice on body damage
Found the car i wanted but it has some scratches on the pass. rocker panel. Hate to buy a car that needs paint however if i can get a steal on it i may consider it. How much do you think it would cost and would i be satisfied? Ops can't post pics sorry.

I think these cars take a beating of the rocker panels. I have a bunch of stone chips along the rockers and in front of the rear wheels by the screens. Not to highjack the thread but us this common?

Got some on mine also, I know they are there but you can't see them they are under the rocker panel not on the side. I touched them up with this product called Touch up 123. Worked great!! If I don't tell you they're there you won't see them. IMHO the cars are so low....it's gonna happen,

I just got my rocker panels repainted. The shop is charging me $350 but I did most of the prep work. I am picking up the Vette tomorrow so I will post pics over the weekend so you can see how it turned out.

I wouldn't be to concerned with repainting the rocker panels. Even if the color is one of the hard ones to match up, (silver or any one with metal flake) you probably would never notice a difference since it's so low on the car. If the damage is between the front edge of the door to the rear wheel repaint the entire panel.

If the car is what you want in all other aspects, find yourself a good body shop and have the panels repainted. They should be able to match the paint to where it is not noticable.
