There are several Forum members who have a small 4X4 foot track ( or tire trailer) to transport tools and tires to and from the track....
Here's a pic of one of the nicer ones that has been posted on the forum... by Dr. Chill...
I think it is still for sale... unfortunately he is in Florida and I'm in Michigan...
I'm a fan of the car show and cruising... but I realized that I have far more fun beating the **** out of my dirty/chipped car on track than I do being **** over the wax job.
You do get some great looks towing racing tires in a Z06.
To each his own. If you want to tow something with YOUR vet by all means have at it.
So you are going to tow a trailer for tires to go to the track to race the vet? What happens when you wreck/break the vet at the track?
If you rarely go to the track anyway, why not rent a truck with a car hauler trailer? Haul the vet throw the tires in the back, along with tools to work on the vet if something happens?
Sorry guys, I just wouldn't tow anything with a vet.. but that's just me.

Yes... that's the downside... if something happens your still stuck w/o AAA.
Renting a truck and trailer each weekend would get expensive... about the cost of the tire trailer setup. So for many that's not an option.
For me.... if I broke I knew I could get it yanked home w/ AAA.
The probability of it getting broken at the track is only slightly higher than it getting broken on a road trip...
Maybe some members don't take their Vette on road trips either....

I like the little trailer and seems everytime I have taken my car to the 1/4 track I break and I do not own a truck, have a trailer though and lots of friends who have helped me out. I guess the oval events are a little eaiser than my hard launches. The little trailer is a great idea though and as stated if you break you can just call AAA or in my case I just ring up my friends

I'll chime in here, the vette is my only vehicle and I regularly tow things with it. I have a 5x8 trailer that I haul DJ equipment with
Bad Picture of it attached
I also use the draw-tite hitch. I have a C5 logo hitch cover I put on its place when not in use and it looks just like an exhaust plate. Car hasn't broken yet!
This whole thread is kinda funny, but this is the best line of them all.
Brian, are you sure it's "gym" and not "Jim" ?
Gary said you are comming down to work on your Vette this weekend. Man I may just have to pull my azz off the beach and drive out to Suffolk just to see the face behind your threads...

I haven't read through the posts thus far, but I can fit 4 wheels with tires in my C5 coupe Just bring a few blankets with you and you're ready to go. Just yet another reason that the C5 coupe is a better buy than a Z06(dependent on many personal factors of course).
