I would like to finish off the engine compartment with a red washer res cover and a red coolant res cover. It would be nice if they were the same red as the fuel rail covers and even have a bit of a matte finish to it. Your suggestions and help would be appreciated.
Don't know how well they match but there's a guy selling a bunch of under hood components painted torch red on your favorite auction site.
Went and looked at it. The coolant recovery tank cover is at - you need to be sitting down - $152.50. If this holds, I'm quitting the day job and going to start painting underhood parts and covers. I am persuaded one could sell a horse apple on that auction. It is truly hard to grasp that someone is willing to pay that amount of money for a piece of plastic.
I have not seen the one you are talking about, and while neither of us would pay that kind of money (I'm cheap) there is quite a bit of time in doing this correctly.
I recently did my frc's and hope to do more parts probably next winter, but if you had to pay me by the hour, forget it.
